FamPace privacy
What we keep
- About you: your first name, age, sex (or “prefer not to say”), and — only if you add them — height, weight and resting heart rate. These tailor your plan, heart-rate zones and food targets.
- Your activity: workouts, walks, Bursts (one-minute moves), check-ins and the plans you build.
- Food: meals you log, meal plans, grocery lists, allergies and food preferences.
- Your places & gear: the places you train and the equipment you have there.
- Health notes you choose to share during setup (for example, high blood pressure) — used only to make your plan gentler and flag hard moves.
Who can see it
Only the people in your family on FamPace. Each family is a separate private space; another family can never see your data. In a family-vs-family challenge, the other family sees only your family’s name and team totals — never anyone’s personal details.
Apple Health and Apple Watch
If you connect Apple Health, FamPace reads your workouts, steps, exercise minutes, heart rate, resting heart rate, distance, sleep and weight so your day and your family goals stay up to date, and it saves water you log and breathing sessions you finish. The FamPace Watch app records workouts you start on your wrist and saves them to Apple Health.
- Health data is used only to run FamPace for you and your family — never for advertising, never sold, and never shared with anyone outside your family space.
- You choose exactly what FamPace can read or write in the Health app, and you can turn it off any time (Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → FamPace).
- Things you log with Siri or from your Watch go to your family space the same way as anything you log in the app.
Voice, photos and the assistant
- Voice: when you tap the mic, a short clip is sent to our server to be turned into text, then discarded. We don’t keep recordings.
- Photos: when you snap a meal or your fridge, the photo is analyzed to recognize foods and then discarded.
- Fam (the assistant): to answer, it receives what it needs — like your food targets and allergies. This runs on Cloudflare’s AI service on our behalf; it is not used to train AI models.
- Location: used only when you ask for nearby places to eat, and only for that request.
Kids
Children under 13 don’t have their own login. A parent creates and manages their profile, and their information never leaves the family space.
Where it lives
Your data is stored with Cloudflare, our hosting provider, and sent over encrypted connections. Reminders use your phone’s standard notification service.
What we never do
- Sell or rent your data.
- Show ads or share data with advertisers.
- Use your data to train AI models.
Deleting your data
In the app: Settings → Account & family → Delete my account. The person who started the family can also delete the whole family. Deletion is permanent and removes your data from our servers.
Not medical advice
FamPace gives general fitness and nutrition guidance. Talk to your doctor before starting a new exercise program, especially if you have a heart condition.
